  1. Child nutrition

    Citizens’ Alliance Against Malnutrition

    His official biography says he has been associated with the Citizens’ Alliance Against Malnutrition since it began in 2007.1 The Alliance was a cross-party group of parliamentarians working on child malnutrition.

    Reporting from 2012 links the Alliance to the HUNGaMA (Hunger and Malnutrition) survey conducted with the Naandi Foundation. The Prime Minister released the survey on 10 January 2012.2

    No source calls him the Alliance’s founder or convener, so this site does not.

  2. Field engagement · Kendrapara

    The Nuagaon anganwadi, 2026

    In November 2025, families in Nuagaon village, Rajnagar block, stopped sending children to the local anganwadi (child-care) centre after a Dalit woman was appointed as its helper and cook.3

    According to reports dated 15 February 2026, Shri Panda visited the centre and shared a meal prepared there. The centre reportedly reopened, and the boycott ended around 16 February 2026.3

  3. Civil society

    Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust

    The Lok Sabha member record lists him as a Trustee of the Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT). The trust presents the Sarala Award and the Ekalavya Award.4

    The record also lists him as a member of the Board of Governors of the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.4

    In the 18th Lok Sabha he has asked questions about welfare schemes in Odisha. They include PM-JANMAN for particularly vulnerable tribal groups, the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana–National Rural Livelihoods Mission, and tap-water connections under Jal Jeevan Mission.5
